This is how the cameras of the future perform – Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

With each passing day, we know more about what the new Samsung phones are going to be like. Now a leak with the photos of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra makes it clear to us how good your photos are going to look.

We are a week away from Samsung’s Unpacked 2023 and we already know almost everything about the phones that the Korean company is going to show us. Among them, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is the one that generates the most expectation, since it will be the most TOP phone from Samsung. And luckily, we already know a lot about this one.

According to the leaks that have been arriving, we will see four cameras on the back of the S23 Ultra again, but with an important change. There will supposedly be a 200-megapixel main camera, which is an even higher resolution than the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s 108-megapixel main camera.

This camera will be able to take photos of 200 Mpx, 50 Mpx, or 12.5 Mpx, which will allow users to choose if they want more detail or more brightness and color in their photos using what is known as pixel binning.

Even if you go for a 200-megapixel photo, it’s supposed to only take up 20-40MB of space per photo, which is pretty compact compared to other high-resolution photos.

Galaxy S23 Ultra camera features and comparison with the Pixel 7 Pro

This 200MP sensor on the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have 0.6µm pixels on a 1/1.3″ sensor with an especially wide f/1.7 aperture. These specs are no match for the ISOCELL HP1 or HP3 sensor, which means it could very well be the ISOCELL HP2.

Well-known Twitter user Ice Universe has claimed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 200MP main camera could be much better than expected when it comes to taking photos in low light. The leaker claims that the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 200 Mpx camera will be the biggest leap in photography in the last 5 years.

High praise comes specifically for the night mode, as the S23 Ultra is reportedly faster than the S22 Ultra when it comes to taking photos in near-no-light scenarios.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra was already a phone capable of taking night photos, so any improvements that are added to it seem like they will make the images excellent in both light and shadow. This could be the spearhead of the Galaxy S23 Ultra against the iPhone 14 Pro Max .

A sensor that will be a reference in photography

In the images that are leaking, the Galaxy S23 Ultra shows incredible photographic quality, especially when we zoom in on the photo up to x30. In this sense, few smartphones will be able to reach the level of Samsung’s top-of-the-range.

Next, we leave a gallery with images taken with the 200 Mpx sensors and we see how the zoom increases in each photo. So you can see how the Samsung camera manages to give enormous performance even at high magnifications.

The photos have been leaked by Edwards Urbina, a technology journalist who appears to have had access to Samsung’s phone. The possibility that these are real photos is very high since the specialized media have given all the credibility.

Here we leave you another gallery of photos of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, where we can see how good a lamppost looks with an x30 after several magnifications. The reality is that the result is truly impressive, so this phone could be a real game changer in the sector.
